My Fanfics
Some fanfics I wrote and feel are good enough to actually read. Some of the are choose your own adventures set in World of Horror and are the best in my opinion. I'm also currently in the middle of writing another one. Most of the rest are unfinished though ( ̄▽ ̄*)ゞ
Fav Mangaka
- Pandania: A mangaka who mostly makes 4-komas about cats. I recommend their Yokai Cats and Monster Cats series. Many of their manga are published in English by Penguin Random House.
- Tsutomu Nihei: One of the best to ever do when it comes to cyberpunk and post apocalypse manga.
Fav Manga
- The Big Bees: A cute webmanga about the daily lives of giant, fluffy bees and the humans that interact with them.
- Wonder Cat Kyuu Chan: A slice of life 4-koma about a young man and his extraordinary cat. Originally a webmanga, but has also been collected and published by Penguin Random House.
- Hotel Metsäpeura e Youkoso: Another slice of life manga about two elderly men and a troubled young teenager from Japan running a hotel in Finland.
- Campfire Cooking in Another World:Another slice of life mange, but this time isekai flavored. Focused mostly on cooking, but there is some adventuring as well. I tried to continue on with the light novel, but not only is that a different continuity, part way through the author make the main character out to be a creepy pervert who also buys slaves, so you may want to keep to the manga. Apperantly the slave only make an appearance in a few chapters, but still.
- Akira: The manga that basically started the cyberpunk manga genre. If you liked the movie you'll definitely like the manga.
- Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind: A post-apocalyptic war drama written by the creative mind behind Studio Ghibli, Hayao Miyazaki. You probably already know of it from its movie adaptation.
Fav Video Games
- Forest's Secret: My favorite game of all time, I always find myself playing this again every few years. An rare purely adventure game about helping the people of Wabika in order to get the Seed of Hope to help your country. Has a beastiary and the creator's tumblr has more worldbuilding for the setting.
- Fields of Mistria: A farming game that I honestly enjoy more than Stardew Valley, since I find it way easier to go at my own pace in this one. Has a heavier emphasis on fantasy.
- Look Outside: A lovecraftian horror rpg made in rpg maker. Doesn't really have jumpscares, so even if you don't like horror, you might be able to enjoy it.
- Lost & Found co.: An up and coming indie lost & found game. It's really cute and actually has a personality & story unlike most l&f games. It also has a halloween demo.
- Is This Seat Taken: A puzzle game about seating everyone in the best way posible. Has a short and sweet plot about a diamond shape who want to become an actor, in a world where most poeple are either squares, circles, or triangles.
- Mega Man Legends: A spin off dungeon crawler of the classic Mega Man Series. The story and characters are great and the controls are pretty good, despite how old the game is.
- Isles of Sea and Sky: A really interesting sokoban game with a pacific island setting. I saw the gameplay of the demo a few years ago & noted it in my mind as "definitely want to play", even though I've never played a sokoban game before. I also managed to remember it enough to actually buy the game a few weeks ago, despite basically being an amnesiac.
- Toem:A photography adventure game that is mostly in black and white. It's sequel is set to come out this year!
Fan Translations/Romhacking
Memories of Fear: A fan translation group that focuses on rpg maker games. As you can tell from their name, most of their games are horror. Unfortunately, they disbanded in 2021.
Romhacking.net: The number one romhacking site on the internet. This is where I used to get all my romhacks.
Vimm: Where I used to get all my roms. Unfortunately, a few of the more popular games on here have been taken down.
CDRomance: Where I get all my romhacks now. All of them are pre-patched, so if you know nothing about patching or applying the patch is more complicated than usual, you don't have to worry about anything!
Anime Game Translation Team: Another fan translation group that mainly focuses on handheld licensed games. I've played quite a few of the games they've translated.
