If you've followed the updates on my last site you might know that I've been planning on overhauling it for a while now, and I've finally settled on a layout I like! It's still a work in progress, but I'm happy with it.

The main thing I want to put on here is shrines about my two really obscure favorites and stuff about Fields of Mistria, so I'll be working on that for a while. Other than that, there will be a lot graphics, blinkies, buttons, etc and maybe some CYOA set in World of Horror, so go check those out if your interested!.

I just went to my 1st indie web event yesterday! It was for HTML Day 2025 & it was pretty cool, even if I didn't get any work done (￣▽￣*)ゞ. I took Marta there since I can't drive and everything was going well, until I got off at my last stop. It was in the huge ass parking deck for the Georgia Congressional Center & I had no idea were the exit I was supposed to take was. Especially since you can barely get a gps signal in there. It took me a bit to finally get out on the wrong side of the building, so I ended up getting there way later than I expected.

When I finally got there there were a few others there thankfully - I did not want to show up only to find out no one else decided to attend - so I just sat on the couch and pulled out my laptop. While I didn't really get anything done like I mentioned earlier, I did learn that my site's layout gets messe up on any non-Firefox based web browsers, so I'm definitelygoing to start learning about responsive web design. While I was there, I also met Mot, who also has a site on neocities and who i have a lot of similar interest as.

In other news, I finally decided to see if PCSX2 works on the computer I just switched to, because me and Mot were talking about playing PS2 games & I was complaining to her about all the mishaps that happened while I was trying to homebrew my PS2. My old computer could barely reach 30 frames while running PCSX2, so I didn't have high hopes for this one even though it's way more powerful than it. Guess what, it basically runs PCSX2 perfectly! So all the time and money that was wasted on my PS2 was for nothing! UUGGHHH (ﾉಥ益ಥ)ﾉ. At least I got a controller out of it, but now I need a usb adaptor for it.

Made congee for the 1st time yesterday! I definitely recommend it if you haven't tried it before, it'll male you full for the rest of the day. I had to do a few substitutions (green onion -> chives, ginger -> ginger powder), so I was scrambling around the kitchen looking for them. I spent like, 5 minutes looking for the ginger powder, because my mom said that she had some, but didn't know where it was. So, I was looking for it and kept finding garlic powder & frickin' onion powder (seriously I found so much onion powder in our kitchen), only to find out after I finished cooking, that the ginger powder was in my mom's office. If you want the recipe, I linked it on my recipes page. I'd suggest adding more salt for flavor, but in all honestly the recipe is really good as is.

I also made tonkatsu a few days ago & it was pretty good! I undercooked some of the pork, but neither of us got sick, so it was a success? I think I'll stick to getting tonkatsu from the Japanese restaurant near us.

Made a super late brunch today which took like 2-3 hours to finish it all. Though, that was mostly because of the pancakes. And in the end, I could only finish the pancakes & barely touched the bacon and eggs. I used a recipe I found this morning and I linked it in my recipes page. I had to substitute the vegetable oil with avacado oil & forgot to proof the batter, but it still turned out pretty good.

My aunt also dropped off her dog at our house, so we'll have him until Wednesday. He's blind, so he's kinda just been wandering around & sometimes he bumps into stuff, but it's not been that hard to look after him. Anyway, I'm going to get a quick study sess in, so see ya!

Sooo, the rss feed didn't work... I have no idea what's wrong, but I guess I'll just have to settle for reading rss feeds, instead of having one. In other news, me and my mom just spent the entire day making cinnamon rolls. They're okay, but I think I messed up the glaze somehow. We had to scrap the first batch, since the recipe wasn't good and we went with a recipe that was on the back of one of the yeast packages we had.

I also finally started studying using my Integrated Chinese 3 book. I thought I would have forgotten most of what I learned since I haven't practiced for two months, but I had a pretty easy time understanding the text. I'm also going to be taking care of my aunt's dog soon while she's on vacation. It's going to be my 1st 'job' ever, since she's going to pay me & I've have no luck getting a job this summer. It's been a while since we've had a dog & her's is blind, so we're going to have to clean up the house a lot before we get him.

Tell me why yesterday when I was playig Ultra Sun, Hau just oneshot half my team out of nowhere??? I was going through his team with no problems, when his goddamn Raichu came out and psychic'd my hawlucha, my inceneroar(?), and my diglett. Diglett resists pshychic! Granted it was a four levels lower than it, but still!!

Besides that, I also started reading a new manga last called Hotel Metsäpeura e Youkoso, and it really hits that cozy manga itch I've had for a while. I went out with some family this morning, since one of my maternal 2nd counsin and her family came into town. I'm pretty sure this is the 1st time I've ever met them. And I've finally added an rss feed to my site, while doing some other minor updates to this site. If I've done everything right, this should be the 1st post added to it!

I played Pokemon Ultra Sun for the 1st time in a few months and five minutes in I learn that one of my pokemon got pokerus??? Not only that it was my Zorua, which I hadn't even sent out into battle yet??? (i think, like i said I haven't played this game in a few months). This is the 1st time one of my pokemon has ever gotton pokerus, despite completing platinum & legends arceus, and playing x, emerald, omega ruby, and black 2. I don't really care about ivs cause I play casually, but still, it was a real "WTF" moment.

In other news I made angel haair pasta yesterday, and it was pretty good even if it was mostly box mix. I never thought I would like cooking so much, but I really enjoy it. It doesn't feel as tedious as the few times my mom tried to teach me how to cook. I'm even thinking of adding some of my grandma's recipes on here. I guess that's the joy of being medicated ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I made some progress on my cooking journey yesterday! I made french toast for breakfast and egg fried rice for dinner! Granted my mom helped both times even though I didn't ask her & the fried rice was mushy cause we didn't have day old rice, so I tried to cheat by putting it in the refrigerator to dry. It probably didn't help that the power went out while the rice was still cooking.

But still, I made progess! And I'm going to try making fried rice again today, since we made another batch of rice last night. It might not seem like much, but before this I really only made eggs and bacon & corned beef hash and eggs recently. And before that, I made eggs like once a few years ago. (￣▽￣;)ゞ
